How to use it

Third graders are moving from counting to multiplying, from short sentences to paragraphs. A worksheet works best when it targets one skill, so keep the topic small: the 6 times table, adding with regrouping, main idea, or the life cycle of a frog.

Fill in the blanks and matching suit this age well because they are quick to finish and quick to mark. Use word problems once the facts are solid. Short answer is good for sentences, but expect students to need the lines and a bit of room.

Easy keeps numbers small and words short. Medium is the normal grade level. Hard stretches toward grade 4 work for fast finishers.
